1. Pricing

 

We keep our pricing simple and transparent. We offer flat rates for full-day and half-day rentals, providing you with 8 and 4 hours of access, respectively. Currently, we do not offer per-hour rentals. For longer-term projects, you can explore our a la carte offers on our website. Please note that extra flat-rate charges apply to appointments on Sundays, Saturdays, and specific national holidays.

 

2. How Much Will I Save?

 

Expect significant savings! On average, our customers save 50% or more compared to what a mechanic would charge. The more labor-intensive the repair, the higher your savings, as labor costs can quickly escalate.

 

3. Payments

 

For bookings of 8 hours or less, you pay for the time you reserve. However, if you've booked more than one day of rental, you'll only be charged for the actual time you use. We prorate charges based on your usage and process refunds for the remaining balance within 7 business days. For instance, if you book 4 days but only work for 2 and a half days, we'll charge you for 3 days of rental and refund the difference paid for the fourth day.

 

4. What If I've Never Worked on a Car?

 

No worries! We've all been beginners. DIY Auto Labs offers free expert advice to anyone who rents a bay from us. You can learn how to perform standard maintenance tasks recommended by your car's manufacturer, gaining the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Club members also enjoy complimentary access to AllData online auto repair manuals with each bay rental.

 

5. What is Needed to Use DIY Auto Labs

 

To get started, you must be at least 18 years old or have a parent or guardian present. You'll need a valid driver's license and vehicle registration for your first-time garage use. Our technicians will provide you with a brief training session on how to use lifts and equipment safely. You'll also be required to sign a liability waiver before getting started.

 

6. Can I Bring My Friends?

 

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring friends along—it makes working on your car more enjoyable. We do ask that you limit it to two friends, with a total of no more than 3 people per bay to prevent crowding. If you need additional assistance for specific tasks, please get in touch with us, and we'll accommodate your needs. Your friends must also be at least 18 years old or have a parent or guardian present, hold a government-issued ID, and sign a waiver if they access the work area.

 

7. Can I Bring and Work on More Than One Car?

 

For rentals longer than 4 hours, you're welcome to bring two cars, but you can only work on one car at a time at one workstation.

 

8. Do I Need a Reservation?

 

Yes, reservations are required, and we do not allow walk-in service. You must book an appointment through our online calendar. Your appointment is reserved for the specified start and stop times. If you require additional time and it's available, you can request an extension.

 

9. Can I Use a Floor Jack?

 

While we cannot permit the use of floor jacks as the primary lifting device, you can use them occasionally as helper tools.
